The Alliance received the following notification of a meeting on Tuesday 06dec22 (via teleconference) of the Western Sydney Planning Panel which is to consider the Development Application (DA) in respect of the plans for the heritage listed former Ritz Nursing Home site in Leura Mall.
The notification includes details of how individuals can access the related documentation and register to speak at the Panel meeting.

The panel will meet to determine the following development application(s):
- PPSSWC-186 – Blue Mountains – X/1436/2021 - 203-223 Leura Mall, Leura - The proposal involves the restoration and rejuvenation of a heritage listed site to re-establish its former use as a residential care facility.
MEETING DATE / TIME Tuesday, 6 December 2022 at 10:30am
LOCATION This meeting will be held by public teleconference
Relevant documents will be available on the Planning Panels website www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/planningpanels at least seven days before the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to give interested people the opportunity to speak directly to the panel before a decision is made.
Any person is welcome to listen to the public teleconference.
If you have any enquiries or wish to address the panel or listen to this meeting, you must register by contacting the Planning Panels Secretariat before 4pm Friday, 2 December 2022 on 02 8217 2060 or via email to enquiry@planningpanels.nsw.gov.au.
On registration you will be provided a phone number and code to enable you to join the public teleconference.

The Panel is required to make an audio record of the meeting and make the recording publicly available on the Planning Panels website. You should be aware that this may include your personal information if you are presenting to the Panel.
The Panel will aim to publish its decision on the Planning Panels website within 7 days of the meeting.
Guidelines for speakers
As a guide, individuals will have 3 minutes to speak, a community group will have 10 minutes in total, and the applicant, including consultant(s), a total of 15 minutes to present and address issues raised in public submissions. Any requests for extending time limits are granted at the discretion of the Chair.
Please consider focussing your oral submission on how the assessment report has addressed your concerns, as the panel will have read your written submission before the meeting.
